UK Car Insurance Nightmares

As far as places to live go the UK is a pretty great place, unless you drive a car. It was found that out of all of the places in the UK, Bristol has more drunken driving convictions on their car insurance than anywhere else. They also found that 27% of drivers in Bristol also have a speeding conviction on their auto insurance.

But all the blame does not fall on Bristol – as Mancunians were found to have the highest car insurance premiums, and the most likely to drive without it. Leeds was first in car insurance claims for car theft, and a third of Nottingham have convictions for speeding on their auto insurance.

USwitch.com was the company running the comparisons, and they said that the biggest problem with all of this was the number of honest citizens that ended up paying the price with their car insurance because of the bad driving habits of others. They say that because 6% of their drivers are operating motor vehicles with no car insurance, those that have the car insurance are paying an extra £30 on their premiums to make up for it.

They also said that drivers could save money by shopping around, and they found that according to the above research that those honest drivers could save an average of £68.92 on their car insurance by switching to Kwik-Fit Insurance as they have better rates than most.
