New Car
Insurance
Britain thinks that they
have come up with a great idea on how they
can handle issuing new car insurance
policies, as well as auto insurance
renewals. In this age of computers and the
internet, it is a wonder no one had
thought of it before – they can issue car
insurance electronically.
Instead of an actual paper trail and
having to go into a car insurance office,
it could be handled completely
electronically instead of having to mail
policies through the post office. The law
currently states that it must be done
through the post, but lawmakers think
there has to be a better way.
If the law changes, all car insurance
certificates would come electronically;
this would save a lot of time and
paperwork for both the car insurance
companies and for their clients. Justin
Jacobs, the head of auto insurance at the
Association of British Insurers says that
this is a big step toward making things
easier for everyone, and they welcome the
new plan.
Jacobs says that when you are trying to
buy a vehicle you won’t have to wait
forever to get your paperwork and get your
car legal – your car insurance will take
no time at all. He also says that since
most people have internet access now, they
will be able to arrange their car
insurance coverages over the internet and
get their policy.
