Solanki
Charged with Auto Insurance Fraud
Santosh Solanki, a 48
year old dentist from San Bernardino
County, was arrested and charged with car
insurance fraud for a claim he submitted.
Solanki surrendered to the San Bernardino
County District Attorney’s office after
they issued a felony arrest warrant for
him. The warrant claims that he committed
auto insurance fraud, and Solanki has been
charged with the crime.
The District Attorney’s Office says that
the Diamond Bar dentist has been
investigated by their Auto Insurance Fraud
Unit, and has been found to commit
insurance fraud against the Interinsurance
Exchange of the Automobile Club of
Southern California. The car insurance
company became suspicious of a claim that
Solanki made for damage to his car.
Solanki made a claim to his car insurance
company for damages that his car had
sustained. The problem was that he claimed
damages that were from a previous
accident, plus that accident had already
been paid for by the auto insurance
company. Solanki was claiming the damages
twice, and therefore was trying to get
financial gain from the insurance company.
Solanki has been charged and his bail is
set at $10,000. The dentist has offices in
Rancho Cucamonga and Glendora, and it is
not known when he will return to work.
