How to Get
Cheaper Car Insurance
Many people think that
the number that is quoted to you from the
car insurance company is the amount you
have to pay. They assume that no matter
where they go, this auto insurance agency
has given them the same price as anyone
else would have. They would be making a
very big mistake.
The facts are that depending on the
company you go to, you can end up with
very different pricing on your auto
insurance policy. In some cases you can
end up saving hundreds of dollars a year
in auto insurance premiums. The best thing
you can do for yourself is to get several
quotes. Go to three, four, or more auto
insurance agencies and get quotes from
each of them so that you can compare
pricing.
You also want to be sure not to tell the
other auto insurance companies what the
other quotes are. Simply tell them that
you are shopping around and will be taking
the quote that is the best. Otherwise,
they will simply try to beat the quotes
you have already gotten, instead of truly
looking for the best price they can give
you. If they say for you to come back if
you get a better quote, let them know that
you will not be going back and forth
between auto insurance companies, you will
simply be taking the best quote you get
from each – this way they don’t give you a
higher quote only to reduce it if you get
less somewhere else.
Don’t pretend you have money you don’t,
but don’t pay the poor card either. Don’t
give them a run down of what you have
budgeted, just tell them you are looking
for the best price. Be polite about it,
for if you are rude they will surely have
you pay more. Be sure that you are getting
the same policy coverage that you would
get elsewhere, otherwise you are comparing
apples and oranges, instead of oranges and
oranges.
