Women Finally Get a Break

It seems that we are always hearing about the things that women aren’t getting – equal treatment or equal pay for the same job – but now it is good to hear about something they are getting. When it comes to car insurance, there is no better time to be a woman!

It’s true – women pay less for their car insurance than men do because they are considered to be better drivers than their male counterparts. They get in fewer accidents and thus have fewer claims – so they are rated higher than men.

Young men will pay more than young women, and old women will pay less than old men – it is a simple fact. Women are considered to be safer drivers, so they don’t have to pay as much. As a rule, women drive faster and are considerably more cautious than male drivers are.

Also, men will report more accidents than women which means that either they are not getting in as many accidents or they aren’t claiming every accident they have. Women are also usually responsible for car pooling, thus driving other people’s children, which makes them more aware than men usually are when they are driving.

There are of course, exceptions to every rule, but for the most part – as a woman – you will pay less money for your car insurance. It almost makes up for making less.
