Florida Bills Cracking Down

 
 
The state of Florida’s auto insurance companies have been dealing with a lot of fraud and have not really known what to do about it. It has been years since they first started seeing an increase in auto insurance fraud in the state and up until now the auto insurance companies have been helpless to stop it. However, when there is auto insurance fraud, all of the policy holders in the state end up paying for it. The higher the number of claims that the auto insurance companies have to pay out the higher everyone else’s policies go as well.
 
But there is a new bill that would make it easier for them to have something to say about auto insurance fraud and let them do something about it. There are actually two bills currently in the Senate and the House of Representatives that would allow the auto insurance companies to deny a claim if they think that it is related to auto insurance fraud.
 
However, not everyone thinks that the auto insurance companies should be given carte blanche as they know the danger in that is that the auto insurance companies would be able to deny more claims and that would make honest doctors unable to get claims covered. This means that they are going to be looking to not take auto insurance claims as it will be too hard for them to get them through and so they will not be paid. Legislators say that there will have to be big changes made to the bills though before they are passed as they would have to ensure that the auto insurance companies paid the legitimate bills on time.
