There are things that you should keep in mind when you are looking at getting auto insurance. You have to look for the best rates and the best terms, but you also have to be aware that there are cases where you will be denied auto insurance coverage. If an auto insurance company thinks that you are going to be a risk to them, then they are either going to deny you coverage or they are going to charge you an astronomical rate for that auto insurance coverage. So there are things that you need to keep in mind when you are driving around so as to not put yourself in a position where you have no auto insurance coverage at all.
 
First, you have to watch the way that you drive. If you speed and are getting tickets, you are considered a risk. You are also risky if you have a lot of accidents, even if all or not all of them were your fault. If you have road rage and cause an accident because of it you can actually void your auto insurance policy as they do not have to cover your bad behavior.
 
The fact of the matter is that the auto insurance policy that we have is a contract that says that they will assume most of the risk for the accidents as long as we behave responsibly. When we do not act responsibly – like speeding or driving recklessly – then we have no way of enforcing our auto insurance contract as it was our fault that they did not pay.
