Insurance, Don't leave home without it!

Most states require that you have auto insurance on your car, truck, or van.   Most banks require auto insurance before you receive an auto loan.  Depending on the price paid for a used car, you should ask about full coverage insurance prices.  Laws differ from state to state. The sites listed below will help you with the laws in your state and give you free quotes.

California Drivers Get Auto Insurance on Web

The Insurance Information Network of California has unveiled a new web site that offers information on their state-run program, so that consumers can determine how much the cost of it would be. Low income drivers can now see how much auto insurance will run them if they participate in the program.

All they have to do is log onto www.iinc.org and use their mouse to scroll over the map of California to check out auto insurance prices in their specific area. Depending on where they live will determine how much they pay for their auto insurance as there are 22 different counties and the pricing is different from county to county.

The idea is that people can see how much they would pay, and to see if it is even offered in their area. The network says that they wanted to be able to make it one stop shopping for their auto insurance needs, and thus make it even easier for people to find out their possibilities. Plus, they are offering the map in both English and Spanish for those customers who English is not their first language.

The auto insurance program was created by the state to help those that could not afford car insurance to get some and thus not break the law. It has reduced policy limits and thus they pay less for their auto insurance. Currently California has about 25% of their drivers operating without any kind of auto insurance.
