Crime Rate Could Help Auto Insurance
One of the things that
drivers really cannot afford to go
without these days is auto insurance.
Sure enough, if they don’t have auto
insurance even if they are lucky enough
not to hit someone else, what are they
going to do when someone hits them? It
is not as cut and dry that someone else
will pay for everything, there are
things that are traditionally paid for
by your auto insurance company first.
But in this economy many people are
choosing not to have auto insurance as
they know that they cannot afford it.
They have to make a choice between
electric and food or their auto
insurance policy and the insurance is
going to get left behind every time.
With this in mind, auto insurance
companies have been seeing a big trend
towards less people renewing their
policies, and many switching companies
hoping for a better deal.
But according to the Federal Bureau of
Investigations, auto insurance companies
might be seeing a break due their
clients. The FBI says that they have
seen a drop in vehicle theft by 18.7% -
which really is significant. This means
that with less cars being stolen, auto
insurance rates will be able to go down
to reflect the lack of claims. They also
say that drunk driving fatalities have
also dropped, which really starts to
paint a pretty good picture for
consumers.
These are not changes that people will
see immediately on their auto insurance
policies, but they will eventually see a
change in them if the companies pass
along their savings to their clients.
