Bad Credit Auto Loans

 
It used to be that you could walk into an auto dealership and get an auto loan without it being any kind of a problem. It used to be that you could get an auto loan with very little credit history and even if you had pretty bad credit. Auto loan financiers were all too happy to give away their auto loans to anyone that wanted one. And then the bottom dropped out of the market and people started not paying their auto loans.
 
This lead to two things – bad credit and an auto loan market that was saturated with repossessed cars as no one could afford the ones that were given them. So then the pendulum swung the other way and the auto loan industry stopped giving any one a loan unless they had perfect credit. This made it difficult as they were now inundated with cars and no one was qualifying to purchase them.
 
So now they are trying to come to a middle of the road kind of deal with their auto loans. They are giving them to people with bad credit, but only if they can show an ability to pay them back, and they show that they are trying to and have been improving their credit. So if you don’t have a job, the days of getting an auto loan are pretty much over. But if you have a job, are taking steps to clean up your act, then you will qualify for an auto loan.
 
But the interest rates may not e very good on them. You have to go online and check out what kind of an auto loan you can qualify for before you put one foot into a car dealership. It has always been smart to know what you could afford car wise when looking at car payments and the price of the car, and cash in hand is always good as it gives you leverage.
