Auto Insurance Company to Blame for Disability

Tara Sadler is suing State Farm Auto Insurance because they delayed a treatment that would have kept her from being disabled. Sadler was involved in an automobile accident that happened when her husband hit the brake to avoid a van which was fleeing from the police. Her head snapped back in the slamming on of the brakes, and since then she has gotten increasingly worse.

She found out that her spinal cord was dangerously compressed, and the auto insurance company made her wait for more than a month because they wanted her to see their doctor in order to see if she needed more treatment. Because of the delay, she is now permanently disabled, and is suing the auto insurance company because of it.

Sadler now has to use an electric wheelchair, and cannot use her right leg or right arm properly anymore. If she had gotten the surgery she needed she would be fine. She is suing the auto insurance company because they allowed a claims adjuster with no medical training determine the course of the rest of her life.

Her doctors said that time was of the essence and told State Farm that she needed the surgery immediately, but still the auto insurance company made her wait. When they finally agreed to the surgery it was too late to help her fully regain the way she used to be. She ended up with two surgeries instead of just one, and her doctor says that had the auto insurance agency allowed her to have the surgery when it first happened she would be fine now.
