Are
Warranties a Good Thing When Getting Auto
Loan?
Almost
always when you go to buy a car, they
offer you a car loan. However, if you are
purchasing a used car, many times they
won’t offer the extra auto insurance that
comes with it. Sometimes it has already
run out, and sometimes they just don’t.
However, that does not mean you cannot get
it on your own.
When you go to look at a new car, read the
fine print very carefully and see if this
is something you truly want to pay for.
See what is covered, and most importantly
what is not covered. Look at the warranty
on each new car that you look at, and
compare and contrast as to who is giving
you the better deal, because it could be a
deal breaker between one car and the next.
Many times the extended warranty can be a
good thing, especially if you purchase the
car used. Used car loans do not always
come with the option, but if you are given
it, again, check the policy as to what is
covered and what isn’t, and how much it
costs as compared to what they won’t fix.
If you have already purchased the car and
have taken care of all of the auto loan
paperwork, you can go back and see if they
will add on the extended warranty. You can
also go to another company and have them
offer you extended warranty on your car.
AAA is a good one for that, many people
truly like what they do and don’t cover.
However, as a rule you will pay more for
their warranty than one from the dealer.
