Brunei Offers Car Purchase Assistance

Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP), Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd (BLNG), Brunei Shell Marketing Sdn Bhd have signed a deal with Standard Charter Bank (SCB) that will enable employees of the above companies to get a car loan through the bank with less hassle than they would have normally.

They now have available to them the Brunei Shell Car Purchase Assistance Scheme, which will enable them to get an interest free car loan for their car purchase. The partnership between the four companies was signed and witnessed by several officers of both the bank and the signatory companies.

The goal is to help employees get a car loan, so that they can purchase a car and make themselves more self-sufficient. The scheme allows them to take out either a new auto loan or a used auto loan, or even to simply refinance their existing auto loan.

The company says that they did it to help themselves as well as their employees. They want to be seen as the “employer of choice” in the nation, and think that with this partnership they will be able to do that.

The bank was excited by the possibility as well, and they said that they were proud to partner with the companies as it will help their employees and it will help their bottom line with their auto loan portfolio.
