GM Considering Offering Bad Credit Auto
Loans
There are those that are looking to get
an auto loan that can afford it, but
cannot afford the high interest rates
that often come with it when you have
bad credit. Known as bad credit auto
loans, there are many that are out there
that will allow you to get an auto loan
through their financial institution but
the interest rate that you will pay will
be absurd. This simply jacks up the
price of the auto loan and the amount
that they pay when all of their debt is
paid off is often way more than the
price of the car that they purchased.
But there are some places that are
trying to change that, and GM is one of
them. There are those that understand
that in this economy there are a lot of
people who have ended up with bad credit
but might still be able to afford an
auto loan. GM says that they are looking
to work with a financial institution
that might be able to assist them in
helping those with bad credit get an
auto loan that does not hurt them in the
process. They said that they would like
to be able to offer “better loan terms
or lower monthly payments” than what
they have been seeing at other places.
The bad credit auto loan market is
recovering, just like everything else
is, but slowly. It is still difficult to
get an auto loan if you have credit that
is not perfect, but the standards have
relaxed somewhat so that it is not
impossible. After all, GM and the other
auto loan companies say that just
because they have bad credit it doesn’t
mean that they don’t need a car to get
to their job or what not so that they
can pay their bills.
