Risky Lending Again?

 
There are signs that not everyone has learned their lesson when it comes to the subprime auto loan debacle that has gone on in the recent past. There are many in fact that have not – and it is not the consumers of which we speak. In an effort to drum up business, there are those in the auto loan industry that are trying to get those with poor credit and/or a bankruptcy on their credit to get an auto loan with the promise that it will improve their credit.
 
The auto loan industry seems to be loosening their standards once again to try and bring in more business, but many worry that they are simply going down the path that got them into this mess in the first place. What is happening is that many that have declared bankruptcy in the past year or so are receiving offers from these auto loan companies that promise them a guaranteed amount for a new auto loan through them. They say that this is the way for them to start rebuilding their credit and that they should hurry on down to XYZ Dealership to get their new car.
 
But many that are getting the offers are confused as they declared bankruptcy as they could not afford their bills. They say that they are no closer to being able to afford an auto loan then they were before. Experts in the auto loan field say that these deals could actually end up getting more people in trouble – and because they declared bankruptcy already they will not have the ability to do so for another seven years – leaving them with an auto loan that they cannot afford.
