AIB Pledges
Cash Back
AIB is
heating up the competition with its latest
ploy – giving money back to its customers.
However, the competition is particularly
envious as the company means it. They will
give back €2,000 in cash to any customer
that meets the criteria.
The company is giving back €2,000 to their
customers that help the environment. If
their customers opt for a new Green Line
initiative when choosing their mortgage,
home, or car loan they will be rewarded.
If they choose to draw down on a mortgage
or personal loan to install approved
renewable home energy systems, they will
get up to €2,000; if they use a car loan
to purchase a hybrid or flexi-fuel car,
they will get up to €600. They are also
allowing customers to get their banking
statements electronically as well, so as
to save on paper and therefore trees.
For every customer that chooses to go
paperless, the company will make a
contribution to the AIB Green Fund. The
money from that fund will be split up
between two environmental projects – one
national and one international.
The company says that they hope this will
encourage their customers to become more
environmentally aware, and therefore more
environmentally friendly. They know that
most people will opt for being better to
the environment if there is something in
it for them.
