National
Free Auto Insurance
Several UK law firms have
announced that they are launching their
own car insurance policy. They are
offering a national free car insurance
policy, with free legal cover and 24/7
telephone support for accident victims. It
will compete with all the paid-for auto
insurance policies that are currently out
there.
The company is tired of what they call
“murky practices” of other auto insurance
companies, and their new auto insurance is
going to be called LawCover from
LawAnswers. They say that the auto
insurance companies regularly sell legal
insurance, and AA and RAC usually give it
away for free if you buy their auto
insurance.
However, most users don’t know that claims
are not actually made on the policy,
instead the auto insurance company sells
it to a solicitor. They get a portion of
the proceeds back from each case they pass
on. So they are actually benefiting from
their customer’s accidents.
The company says that if the claim is
damage only, or there are no injuries, or
any injury or damage is negligible, then
they may not get coverage from the insurer
at all. This happens a lot if the third
party is actually on the same car
insurance as the first and second. They
say that these legal policies aren’t
“worth the paper they are written on” and
that they don’t treat their clients with
the proper respect they deserve.
They will also cover license protection,
and that they will defend you for free if
you lose your license anyway. The policy
will cover all cars in a family, as well
as bikes, motorcycles, etc., and if the
car seat in the car when there is an
accident they will replace it for free.
