Bad Credit
Auto Loans
Those with
bad credit are not really trying to get
car loans these days as they know that
they are not going to be approved. More
and more you hear prospective clients
saying that since the economy tanked,
getting an auto loan was difficult for
those with good credit – which means there
is really no point in them trying.
However, unless you have terrible credit,
a bankruptcy, and no job – then there
might just be a car loan out there with
your name on it. The big auto loan
financers realized that they have been too
strict in their attempt to control the
number of auto loans that have gone
unpaid. They are now changing things to
make them a little more lenient for their
clients.
First of all you have to forget everything
you heard about car loans and what your
possibilities are. You have probably been
told you have to go to a special place to
get one – and this is not true. Most
dealerships have places that they go to in
order to shop out a bad credit car loan.
In fact, nowadays there are many car loan
companies that will work with a score
between 500 and 680, which is a big help
for the majority of those that need auto
loans.
They look at payment to income ratio,
income level, five or more years of credit
history, how much money they are putting
down, and if there is a trade in or not.
They use these factors to determine what
kind of a risk you are, and base their
decision on that – not just your credit
score.
