Geico Alleges Auto Insurance Fraud
The auto insurance company Geico has
filed a suit against an auto insurance
company that they say has been
perpetrating a scam against them. The
auto insurance company is seeking
millions of dollars in damages and
restitution in regards to the scam. It
would appear that the fake auto
insurance claims were submitted through
a professional medical corporation from
a Queens medical center. They say that
there are literally thousands of these
false auto insurance claims that have
been submitted and paid on.
The auto insurance company is seeking
$1.8 million from the company. They said
that these no fault auto insurance
claims were asking for payment for
radiological services that were
allegedly not provided. They said that
they were first alerted to the scam when
the same service claims started coming
through – they saw a definite pattern in
the claims from the location. They said
that they have been aggressively working
with the state of New York to combat
fraudulent auto insurance claims and
when they find them they are
aggressively perusing those companies
that are trying to rip them off.
They say that any time anyone has any
information regarding fraudulent auto
insurance claims that they should come
forward. They say that these claims only
cause to drive up auto insurance
premiums for honest customers. They say
that they are firmly in support of
“legislative reform” and “regulatory
reform” so that they can keep this from
happening to anyone else. They explain
that in the end, everyone pays for fake
auto insurance claims.
