Car Loans Have Changed

Car loans are just one of the things that have changed so drastically over the past few years. There are many things that are no longer offered, and those that are have been changed to make better terms for those that are doing the lending. They are weeding out those that may not have the necessary money to spend, and those with credit issues have been all but eliminated.

Some things that you got used to looking at in the past have changed as well. There will be no more 100% financing. These auto loan deals are all but gone, having gone the way of the “we’ll pay off your old auto loan no matter how much you owe” sort of deal. They want 10-15% down for now on, or at least until the economy turns around.

Zero percent financing on auto loans is also gone for most people because you have to have such a great credit score to get it that most people just don’t qualify anymore. Many times if you aren’t over the 700 mark you aren’t getting anything. They are also getting pickier about what trade ins they will take and how much they are now offering towards them.

There are many places that were offering auto loans that just aren’t around anymore because of the changes that there are. With so many car loans being defaulted on, and so many people ineligible for the car loans out there – it is no wonder that car loans are down.
