Can You Get an Auto Loan in Bankruptcy?
Many
people are not aware that if they are
going through the bankruptcy process
that they are still able to get an auto
loan. It would seem that while you are
in the process of removing all of your
debts that you would not be able to add
on another debt – but this is not the
case. It takes some skill and some
patience, but it can be done. There are
companies that specialize in people
going through a bankruptcy.
It is not advised normally to take on
any debt while discharging the ones that
you have, but sometimes you don’t have a
choice. Sometimes you have to do what
you have to do in order to survive.
Let’s say you have declared bankruptcy
and your car dies. You have no other way
to get to work, and you don’t have the
money to buy it outright. This leaves
you needing an auto loan at a very tough
time.
There are companies that will walk you
through the process of obtaining an auto
loan with terrible credit as well as
bankruptcy. As with anything, you will
need to be patient, and you will need to
check out the company that you choose to
help you out – as not every company is
necessarily all that altruistic. Those
companies that are really looking out
for your best interest will match their
credit challenged customers with a
lender that can best suit their needs.
They know that by helping them with
their auto loan needs that they will be
able to increase their credit scores,
etc.
