Business is Different from Personal
When you
have auto insurance, the kind of policy
that you get has a lot to do with your
coverage and how you use that car.
However, many people don’t realize that
they might have the wrong policy for
what they use their car for. They might
have a personal auto insurance policy
when really they need a business auto
insurance policy.
Many people find themselves in the
situation where they are using their
personal cars to run a business errand
or for some sort of business related
use. However, once you use your car for
business use you need to have a business
auto insurance policy as your personal
may not cover everything you need it to
cover. According to a recent report,
many car owners say that they have used
their personal car for business use, but
they do not have business car insurance.
This puts them in a tough situation
should they end up in an accident of
some kind.
The report said that only roughly one
third of the workers in the United
Kingdom have not used their cars for
business reasons, and of those that do,
only about one third of them have
business auto insurance on their cars.
Most workers are covered for their trip
to and from work, it is the errands that
they run on business time that are for
the business that could cause them the
trouble.
They said that any time a car accident
occurs while you are running a business
errand you are left wondering whether or
not you are going to lose money on the
deal – as many personal auto insurance
companies will not pay for a business
related expense without the business
auto insurance. You could find yourself
liable for the repairs and third party
claims if there are any.
