Phony Car
Insurance Claims
When drivers commit car
insurance fraud, it is not just the
insurance companies that have to pay – it
is everyone who has car insurance. The car
insurance companies simply pass on what
they had to pay to those that pay for
their insurance already. It is in
everyone’s best interest to have those
that would claim faulty claims, stopped.
Well GEICO is one of those car insurance
companies who are trying to do something
about the car insurance fraud game. They
already have a Special Investigations Unit
that they use to prevent and expose
fraudulent claims, and now they have
started a new national fraud hotline.
People can call the GEICO Fraud Hotline at
1-800-824-5404, extension 3313 to report
fraud 24/7. This new hotline will enable
car insurance companies to get car
insurance fraud that their special unit
may not detect. By reporting car insurance
fraud, people are ensuring that their
rates won’t go up due to it, and it saves
money for everyone.
Classic car insurance fraud scams are
staged accidents, inflated medical bills,
exaggerated injuries, and medical
treatments that did not happen. If anyone
feels that they have been a victim of
someone doing these activities, or knows
someone who has committed these crimes,
GEICO asks for your help.
