Green Cars Mean More Green for You

With all the talk of the environment and global warming, people want to know what they can do to help change the world. One of the biggest things that people are looking into are “green cars.” Green cars are hybrid vehicles which means that they use less gasoline which makes for a better air environment.

Now drivers are being rewarded for going green on their car insurance. According to the British Insurance Brokers’ Association, or BIBA, if you drive an environmentally friendly car you could be looking at a break on your auto insurance. They say that by choosing a car like a Toyota Prius you will get a break on your car insurance by giving the environment a break.

This helps a lot with their bottom line in several ways. Not only will they save by paying less with their car insurance, but they will also save by paying less at the pumps. With hybrid cars using less gasoline, you won’t be subject to the money spent at the pumps that regular cars have to pay.

In fact, according to researchers, car insurance on a non-green car can cost an extra £50. They say that in addition to these other savings, it is also cheaper to fix an eco-friendly car. It’s just one more reason why going green is better.
