You Should Apply Now

Now is the time to apply for a car loan if you are going to. Why? Because if you have the credit and you know the car you want, you really have your pick of options and deals to get a great car. There are so few people getting auto loans these days that there are dealerships practically giving away their cars to anyone who seems remotely qualified.

Now if you have terrible credit – you are not going to get an auto loan. That is a fact. The car loan people have taken all the risks that they are going to take in a lifetime – leaving those with poor credit no choices. There are some places that will give you a car loan if your credit is terrible, but you will pay through the nose for that car, and your interest rate will be absurd.

But car loan financiers want people that think they have pretty decent credit to give it a try. They say that they are drowning in the number of cars that they have on their lots and are begging people to apply for car loans. They say that because of the number of people who don’t think that they would qualify for a car loan they lost roughly 400,000 in new car sales – to people who would have qualified.

They say the biggest problem is the media who have led people to believe that unless you have perfect credit that you are not going to get a car loan and this is just not true. They are giving out car loans to people who are credit worthy, but this is not the same thing as perfect credit. If you show that you have a job and you pay your bills on time, and you seem like you have your act together, you are going to qualify for a car loan. If you don’t – then you won’t.
