Auto Insurance Sees Hope

The auto insurance industry says that they see hope in the future and think that things are going to start turning around. They acknowledge that they have been hit hard by the economy and that they had roughly 62,000 job losses in February, but that they are going to come back from this mess.

The auto insurance industry still employs nearly three million people, and they say that there are a large number of those people who are looking to either change jobs or retire over the next year, which will open a whole new world for those looking for a job in the auto insurance industry.

According to Robert Hartwig, President of the Insurance Information Institute, they may not have a specific stimulus package focused on them, but they know that as the economy gets stimulated there will be side benefits for the auto insurance industry as well. They say that as more houses and buildings get built and more people in need of cars and what not that they will see an increase in auto insurance spending.

They say that businesses will once again need commercial lines of auto insurance to cover their businesses and they will see the revenue increase from that as well. He says that some states will see the increase in auto insurance needs sooner than others, but there will be a need across the board eventually. They say that like every other industry, the auto insurance industry will pick up as well.
