Ulterior
Motives?
What if a
car insurance company offered to do
something for you out of the goodness of
their hearts? Would you believe them, or
would you think that they are only going
to try and sell you something, say auto
insurance, as soon as your back was turned
or you let your guard down? Well, Plymouth
Rock auto insurance is doing a little of
both.
They are hoping to get more auto insurance
clients while doing something for the good
of the state. The state announced that as
of December of last year they would no
longer be sending out reminder emails and
letters to residents reminding them that
it was time to renew their drivers’
license, vehicle registration, or
inspection sticker. Instead, they
discovered that they could save as much as
$600,000 by getting rid of the letters.
They need to cut corners and this is where
they felt that they could start. But
Plymouth Rock auto insurance has since
announced that they will take up where the
state left off. They say that as a
courtesy to drivers they would now start
informing anyone who signed up with their
free program so that they would know when
those due dates were coming up for them.
The auto insurance company encourages
drivers to sign up at their site and they
will take care of notifying you if you
have. They say that yes, they hope to get
more auto insurance customers from it, but
even if they don’t they know that they
will have done the right thing from a
consumer standpoint. They know that it is
simply the right thing to do for
residents.
