Green Auto Loans

What if you are trying to find a good way to save the planet? What if you could help the planet while taking out an auto loan? Sounds farfetched doesn’t it? Well, some companies are taking the environment very seriously, and are giving green auto loans instead of the standard fare.

Heritage Credit Union and Credit Union Atlantic are both offering green auto loans and mortgages that rewards those that are taking an interest in the environment. They are helping those that have decided to help the earth. If you drive an energy efficient car, or own a home with energy efficient appliances, etc. you could be looking at lower interest rates.

Many Nova Scotians are doing more than their part to help the environment, and these mortgage and auto loan companies want to reward those that are already trying to help, and encourage others to do so as well. They say that this is not their first program that they have offered to try and help those that help the environment, but they know that there are more people who could be involved.

The rates are significantly lower, with auto loans coming in around 5.99% for those that are energy aware, and they offer auto rebate programs as well – just for driving an energy efficient vehicle. Some US companies have followed suit, doing the same sort of offers for their customers, and experts say that it is just a matter of time before it goes across the world.
