The Teachers’ Insurance
Plan of NJ has decided to work with
several other groups to try and keep kids
alive. The state of NJ has started a
statewide initiative to try and keep kids
from getting into accidents while
operating motor vehicles. The initiative
will discuss ways that they can play it
safe in the state.
The initiative was launched this past June
by High Point Auto Insurance, and with the
addition of the teachers’ auto insurance
group they also get the sponsorship of
Keep Kids Alive Drive 25 tour that will be
going around to the high schools in the
state.
From October 28th through November 1st,
various high schools will be visited and
the tour will show how speeding in
residential neighborhoods will end in
pedestrian and death. They are enticing
local residents, law enforcement agencies,
and their communities to join with them to
get the word out about safety practices.
They want it to be known that not only is
it the right thing to do, but it will also
save you money on your auto insurance. For
every accident or speeding ticket you or
your teen gets, your car insurance rates
will go up – which could be the thing to
get many to listen that otherwise would
not.
This is just the beginning of the auto
insurance sweep; they are going to be
running various information sessions
throughout the year to get the word out.
Their first visits will be to Colts Neck
High School in Freehold, NJ; Northfield
Community Middle School in Northfield, NJ;
Hamilton/Yardville, place to be announced;
and the Anthony Henry Memorial Scholarship
Dinner also in Yardville.
