Not a Good Deal
It seems common knowledge that most
people are not happy with the amount of
money that they pay their auto insurance
company. Most consumers feel that the
auto insurance companies charge them
much more than they need to charge them
because they are a business of making
themselves a profit. Those same people
say that when it is time to pay out
quite often the auto insurance companies
find any and all reasons not to.
A recent report shows that 79% of those
that responded to a survey asking them
their opinion about their auto insurance
company said that they felt they were
paying too much for their coverage. Of
those that responded, 54% said that they
have tried to lower their auto insurance
costs because it has been difficult for
them to pay. More than 83% that they are
going to try and reduce the amount of
their pain for their auto insurance over
the next six months.
They say that the number of people
driving without auto insurance at all
has drastically risen over the past two
years as consumers decide what they can
pay and what they can't. In lieu of
paying their auto insurance, they are
paying things like electric and food
instead.
The Insurance Information Institute says
that consumers should speak to their
auto insurance company about possible
discounts in coverage that they might be
able to get instead of simply dropping
their policies. They say that if they
are in an accident it will end up being
much more expensive for them if they
don't have auto insurance then if they
have been paying it all along. They say
that by getting various policies through
the same company was offering her auto
insurance you may be about to get a
discount there as well.
