Auto Insurance By Another Name?

Whether you have auto insurance through one of the big companies, or if you go for “cheap auto insurance” it makes no difference when you are in an accident. Some people think that if they have cheap auto insurance that you don’t get as many options, nor do you get anything more than the basic minimums required by law.

This is really a misperception that the bigger auto insurance companies want you to think. When in fact, it is simply auto insurance that is offered at a lesser price, and there are no defects nor is it lacking in any way from the larger companies’ policies. Usually is it simply a marketing ploy.

Some auto insurance providers will offer lesser rates because they are trying to build their client base and know that if they can offer you a great deal on auto insurance you will look to them for other needs. They know that they will lose some money on your auto insurance policy, but they will make up the difference in other policies instead.

Many states offer deregulated auto insurance, which means that you can get auto insurance for a lesser price. If you live in a state that it has not been, then all of the auto insurance companies offer the same pricing and you don’t have the option of cheap auto insurance. However, if you do – take care to check out some of the competition as you might find that you have some real options out there for saving some money.
