BMW Selling Car Insurance
When one thinks of
auto insurance, one does not normally
think of the automaker BMW. One thinks
of BMW as the world's largest maker of
luxury cars, and perhaps some of the
best-known status symbols out there
today, one does not think of auto
insurance. However, that is all about to
change.
Bayerische Motoren
Werke AG, more commonly known as BMW,
will start selling auto insurance for
Allianz SE - which is Europe's biggest
insurer. They know that by offering auto
insurance to their clients they will not
only be increasing their profits, but
they will also be getting more revenue
from their car sales. There will offer
traditional auto insurance as well as a
variety of other types that might be
necessary in this economy.
Through this partnership BMW is going to
be able to offer auto insurance that
includes a provision for monthly
payments if clients are unable to make
their payments due to finances. There
will also be insurance that guarantees a
car's value in the event of an accident.
They are going to offer an additional
range of services to be added to the
auto insurance that it is currently
offering leasing customers.
They are leasing customers account for
about 50% of their sales, and by adding
in auto insurance according to the
company they should be able to achieve
their 2012 profit goals. The auto
manufacturer also makes the Mini and
Rolls-Royce vehicles, and they will be
offering auto insurance on those as
well. They believe that through this
partnership they will be able to offer
all of their leasing customers auto
insurance policies through their
company.
